Trisco Pearson of the pioneering Force MDs has passed away due to Stage 4 cancer on Friday. The New York singer is the fourth member of the Force MDs to pass away. Pearson’s family released a statement on Facebook about him and his ongoing battle with cancer:

“It is with the deepest regret that we announce that One of Our own Trisco Pearson Of The Beloved Group, The Force M.D.’s has passed and finally went home with no more pain. Trisco was truly our Brother, coming from Staten Island, New York to transport talents that reached around the world. We will miss him but know he joins our Brothers TCD and Mercury on the Heavenly concert stages.”

The group released their debut album with Tommy Boy Records back in 1984. Since their debut, the group took over the 1980s quickly while working closely with legendary producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. The group lost three of its members in the 1990s and released its last album with the original members in 1994. Their last and finally project dropped in 2000 and only featured the surviving members (Pearson included).
