It’s finally here. The official video for “Long Damn Time” was just released by CyHi The Prynce and Johnathon Hay. The video, directed by creative director Sabrina Hale, takes fans into the brainstorming creative process of the rapper in his studio.

Filled with high energy and impressive dance moves, Prynce shows us the life of a writer and his preparation before stepping into the booth to create magic. The title “Long Damn Time” stems from the anticipated wait of his arrival of his debut album. A few months ago, Prynce posted a screenshot of a conversation between him and Yeezy where Yeezy can be seen saying “#1000% we putting an album out on you in the next 2months.”

There is no release date just yet.

This isn’t the first time Prynce has voiced frustration of not having his own work being released. Last year, Prynce dropped a single called “Elephant in the Room” which talked about his ghost status and being known as the “hitmaker.” He not only lets out his frustration with Kanye but with the whole G.O.O.D music label.  In the song, Prynce can be heard saying “Hey ‘Ye, do you know what it feel like/ To really be signed to you in real life?”  “Have you ever wrote a song that you know you ’bout to say something wrong but you still write?/ I hope when we done that we still tight.”

Can’t wait to see what Prynce has up his sleeve next. Hopefully it’s the album we have all been waiting for.
