Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have identified and arrested a suspect in the shooting of Justin Carr. Justin Carr was shot Wednesday night during protests in Uptown Charlotte, the next day he died as a result of his injuries. Conflicting reports between CMPD and civilians had many wondering if it was a civilian-on-civilian shooting or a police-involved shooting.
21-year-old Rayquan Borum was arrested Friday without incident in connection with the murder. Borum previously served time in prison on larceny and breaking and entering charges in 2012. No motive has been revealed as of yet.
