Nate Parker will be making an appearance on “60 Minutes” to promote his film The Birth of a Nation.


This appearance comes on the heels of showing of the film at the Toronto Film Festival earlier in September.


This interview marks Parker’s first television interview pertaining to the film, with the interview set to air October 2.

Much controversy has been surround Nate and the film after his involvement in a rape case back in 1991 re-surfaced. Many have called for boycotts of Nate and the film, while others say that the film is still a critical piece of black history.
