What a better time to feel safer in New York. It is reported that the New York City crime rate seems to be decreasing since the NYPD started tracking the statistics and that it is actually at an all time low. Since last year there have been 97 fewer shooting, 10 fewer murders, and last month was the safest month by 12 percent.

This report comes just a week after the first 2016 Presidential Debates in which Donald Trump stated that NYC crime and murder rates hasn’t gone down since Major de Blasio stepped in office.

The “stop and frisk activity” has even gone down by 97 percent since its 2011 surge. The only alarming statistic is that assaults on police have increased by 23 percent.
