The 2016 BET Hip-Hop Awards took over Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre back in September. Hosted by DJ Khaled, the 11th annual show premiered on Tuesday (Oct. 4), and started off with a bang.

A shirtless Gucci Mane, showed off his new slim body and kicked off the show with his Mike WiLL Made-It produced single “First Day Out Tha Feds.” The set soon turned into a medley as Travi$ Scott joined GuWop for “Last Time” before being joined by Young Thug and Quavo for “Pick Up the Phone.”

DJ Khaled, T.I., Big K.R.I.T., Lil’ Uzi Vert, Isaiah Rashad, 21 Savage, Desiigner, Lil’ Yachty, D.R.A.M., Dae Dae, and Young M.A. also took to the stage during this year’s award show, with performances proving that hip-hop isn’t dying at all. T.I., Lecrae and Big K.R.I.T. gave three politcally charged and strong performances. Check them all out below.
