While many stand (or kneel) with Colin Kaepernick in his refusal to stand for the flag, many people from all walks if life publicly disagreed including Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice. Rice wrote in his since deleted tweet,
“All lives matter. So much going on in this world today. Can we all just get along! Colin, I respect your stance but don’t disrespect the flag.”
After that tweet, thousands of people criticized him all over social media. Rice didn’t immediately respond to the backlash but early yesterday morning, Rice recanted his previous all lives matter statement with this:
Now, unless he have don’t have a television or access to the internet it is HIGHLY unlikely that he, a black man, doesn’t know about the Black Lives Matter movement, in fact, it’s an impossibility. While some people gave their “respect back” to Rice, others are understandably not buying Rice’s excuse of having no idea of the Black Lives Matter movement’s existence by calling him out for immediately going to All Lives Matter.
Do you believe Jerry Rice had no idea of the Black Lives Matter movement?
