Young M.A. is having one hell of a year. Her buzz-single “OOOUUU” will sit at number 8 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs on the chart dated for Oct. 22. This piece of news makes it the first time in 2016 a female emcee has reached the top 10 on the chart as a lead act. The last to do it was Missy Elliott with “WTF (Where They From),” featuring Pharrell in December 2015, while Nicki Minaj appeared on the charts this year for her feature on Yo Gotti’s “Down in The DMs” remix.

Young M.A. can thank airplay, and streaming and digital sales for the jump from 12 to 8. 38% of that jump was due to digital sales with 15,000 downloads in the week ending on Oct. 6. Those downloads are the highest sales M.A. has seen since the song’s release, helping it reach number 5 on the Rap Digital Songs Chart.

“OOOUUU” is also top 10 on the Rap Airplay Chart. The song currently sits at number 29 on the overall Billboard 100 charts.
