Tuesday night was the final White House State Dinner of the Obama presidency. The guest of honor was the Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, but the guest list was full of music’s heavy hitters like John Legend, Chance the Rapper & Frank Ocean.
First Lady Michelle Obama turned heads and stole the show with a custom, rose gold chainmail Atelier Versace gown. Donatella Versace gave FLOTUS all the praise for wearing the dress:
“I am humbled & honored to dress the First Lady. Thank you for all .. you have done for America & the rest of the world.”
Chance brought his father, Chicago’s Mayor, Deputy Chief of Staff Ken Williams and Frank brought his mother, Katonya Breaux. Chance also revealed that he and the President had been engaged in an ongoing “dance battle” for the past few years. Gwen Stefani performed and Mario Batali was in the kitchen. CNN reported that this was the largest dinner to date. Se some photos below.

Gwen Stefani just sang to me at the White House. And pointed at me. Bro. I'm dead.
