Lifetime just doesn’t get it. They are torturing us with yet another biopic. This time, the chosen victim: Michael Jackson and family.

After Whitney Houston, Aaliyah, Michel’le,Toni Braxton, and Britney Spears Lifetime has confirmed that a movie of the life story of the King of Pop is in the works. Essence magazine reports that the movie will be based on a book released in 2014 called “Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland”. According to the source,

“The film will trace the singer’s final years. The film is currently in pre-production and will begin shooting next month, the LA Times reports.

Now we all know Lifetime is hit or miss with their biopics, so we’ll take a wait-and-see approach. The Aaliyah biopic, Aaliyah: Princess of R&B, was controversial from start to finish, but the Michel’le story, Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le, was actually quite good.”

I guess we will see what Lifetime has up their sleeve this time.
