Shia LaBeouf has been arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and harassment following an alleged altercation with a fellow protestor at his anti-Trump “HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US” live stream early Thursday morning. LaBeouf announced that he will be protesting Trump everyday for four years with an exhibit outside of NYC’s Museum of the Moving Image.
According to the NYPD, LaBeouf and the 25-year-old-man were first involved in a verbal argument before the actor allegedly pulled on the man’s scarf and scratched his face. He also allegedly pushed the man. The unidentified man did not require medical attention but LaBeouf was taken away by authorities.
Thanks to the 24-hour live stream, LaBeouf’s arrest was captured on camera. According to TMZ, the altercation began when the man stepped in front of the camera and said something Shia didn’t like. On the unofficial HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US TWITTER page, a short clip was posted that appears to be the moment that started it all. In the video, the man said “Hitler did nothing wrong” right before Shia pushed him.
