BET is still on a high from their wildly successful adaptation of The New Edition Story, so much so they are already working on their next.

Deadline is reporting that BET has just ordered the pilot for Street Dreams, an hour-long series based on Nas’ life. The show will be set in the early 1990’s “tracks the ascent of Nas, a young man from the Queensbridge projects who will go on to become a famous rapper, as he evolves from young man to crack dealer to rapper to adult.”

The pilot will be written and directed by Jonathan Levine, wildly known for the television series Rush. The number one question, who will play Nas? Guess we will have to wait and see.
