Many brands and companies have chosen to shy away from backing President Donald Trump. However, some brands like Uber and New Balence have gained media spotlight for their approval of Trump. Under Amour CEO is now the latest victim of public hate as reports surfaces of his approval of the 45th president of the United States.

On an interview with CNBC on Tuesday, Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank approved  Trump’s decision making, saying he believes the president is a “great asset” to the company. “I’m a big fan of people that operate in the world of ‘publish and iterate’ versus ‘think, think, think, think, think’,” Plank said. “So there’s a lot that I respect there.”

After the release of the interview, many have called for a boycott of the brand. Under Armour has gone on to now release after the backlash writing “We engage in policy, not politics.”
