An upcoming episode of NBC’s sitcom “The Carmichael Show” will be sure to raise some controversy, as they prepare the air an unedited N-word on the series.

Ahead of the episode, a parental advisory notice will appearing alerting viewers of strong language in the episode. With Season 3 returning May 31, this uncensored word is just one of the many hot topic social and political issues the show has conquered during its run.

During a press conference, Carmichael creator Jerrod Carmichael said this of the decision to air the unfiltered word:

“‘N-word’ is childish…say it! We know what we’re talking about. We’re not speaking to children.”

He also noted that the word would be used several times throughout the episode.

How do you feel about this news? Does the N-word have a place in prime time or is this just sensationalism for ratings?
