The Smith family continues to receive blessings are the early birth of baby Dakota. Dakota was born five months early back in January and only weighed a pound. J.R. Smith and his wife, Jewel asked for prayers as they did all they could to save their baby girl’s life.
Now today, three-month-old Dakota is close to weighing three pounds and is breathing on her own after having her breathing tube removed.
Jewel said that a NICU nurse informed gave her the good news by saying “She’s not intubated anymore.” After 78 long days, Jewel finally got the chance to hold her baby girl.
“I kissed her little cheeks, smelled her neck, gazed into her eyes and just smiled at life…this life…her life that has now become our life! To God Be The Glory…I thank you.”
We’re still praying for the Smith family during the great improvement!
