When photos of the cast of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” hit the net this week, it gave everyone nostalgia feelings and wondered what was the primetime tv family up to these days. It turns up that the reunion with Tatyana Ali, Alfonso Ribeiro, Karyn Parsons, Will Smith, Daphne Maxwell Reid, and Joseph Marcell wasn’t random, it was for charity.
Karyn Parsons, aka “Hilary Banks” told TMZ that the casts reunited at Nobu to have lunch with a family from England that won a charity auction. The money raised from this prize will support her organization, Sweet Blackberry, which produces educational animated shorts about African-American history. She also said it was a bittersweet moment because of the absence of James Avery who played “Uncle Phil.” He passed in 2013. See the pic of the gang below.
