If your not a football fan, you’ve probably never heard of Bills offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio. Today, he makes headlines not for his football skills but for a bizarre incident on Tuesday where he yelled at a police officer to shoot him.
Police say that Kouandjio was found not far from the site of a car accident in Elma, New York that left a pregnant woman in critical condition. Kouandjio was found “not fully clothed” in the middle of a field after allegedly hopping an electric fence. When police approached Kouandjio, he yelled “Shoot me!” Thankfully, police didn’t shoot him, instead they took him to the Erie County Medical Center for observation.
He missed Bill’s mini camp on Thursday and they released a statement on his behalf, “We are aware of the matter involving Cyrus and are carefully monitoring his condition and gathering more information. We don’t have all of the details, so we won’t have any further comment at this time.”
Kouandjio has played for the NFL for three years after being drafted 2nd round out of Alabama in 2014.
