The ink has dried and the deal is done. Marshawn Lynch will make his official return to the NFL as a member of the Oakland Raiders.
The Oakland Raiders and the Seattle Seahawks have come to terms on a deal that allows Marshawn Lynch to come out of retirement and play for the Oakland Raiders. Lynch’s new deal with the Raiders is worth $8.5 million with $3 million of that guaranteed.
His former team, the Seattle Seahawks walked away with the Raiders’ late-round draft picks in 2018. The Seahawks will take the Raiders’ 5th round pick, and the Raiders will take the Seahawks’ 6th round pick.
Marshawn Lynch has been itching to return to the NFL for some time now, and only wanted to do so if he could play for his hometown Oakland. This is a big deal for Lynch and he took to Twitter to show his excitement once the deal was finalized.

Now that the deal is done and Lynch has passed the team’s physical assessment, all that is left for Lynch to do now is file the paperwork to unretire. Beastmode is back and the NFL is better off for it.
