Hip-Hop heavyweight Wale comes through and lets us know his new album, SHiNE’s release date, has been moved up and is out now. He shares with us his new found closeness with fellow rapper J. Cole, jokingly saying he’s now his emergency contact after being mentioned on Cole’s track “False Prophets.” Amongst other topics discussed we learn that his relationship with MMG, his label, and crew, is now closer than ever despite a public feud with labelmate Meek Mill last year, liking it to a sibling rivalry.

Wale credits his newborn daughter for his recent clarity having gone through a miscarriage earlier in life. When asked by Ebro why, in an earlier interview, did he seem to shy away from the topic, Wale gives an emotional response: “You have this vision in your mind and you become one with this little person even before they’re here and when that gets taken away from you, you do whatever it takes to not have to go through that again. And for me, that was not speaking on it until we knew everything was official”.

Having gone through what he refers to as ‘a life full of disappointments,’ now coming out on the other side, Wale seems to be in a better space than ever. All of this, of course, means that his new album is going to be fire!
