It has been a little over 100 days since Donald Trump became the 45th President of the United States.   When Trump announced his candidacy for office, many laughed it off as it seemed virtually impossible for him to win but, brashness and narcissism is what led him to the oval office.  Now, his approval ratings of his first 100 days are the lowest percentages in recorded history.

Could that same narcissism and brashness be his downfall?

One of the many ways Trump’s ego gets in his way is his thin skin. Whether it’s the constant racial jabs thrown at Obama or the infamous “George Bush don’t like Black people” comment, the President of the United States is a position that is constantly criticized no matter who’s in office.  While previous presidents took the high road, Trump is consistently worrying about what his detractors think of him.  He always has a snide remark to counter what was said about him while usually chalking it up to “fake news.”

In many ways, this has helped him because he’s able to manipulate the public in to believing that there are organizations who are on the attack, even if they are just doing their jobs.

It is baffling that we are almost three months removed from his (upsetting) Presidential election and he is still complaining about things that happened during his campaign. Could you imagine the backlash President Obama would have gotten if he were still bad-mouthing Romney or McCain months in to his Presidential Term?

Nonetheless, Trump seems to be spending more time focusing on Hilary instead of being an efficient President.   So far, he hasn’t been able to successfully repeal Obamacare and has even backed off his building his beloved wall for border control.

And, we didn’t even get to talk about how 45 is moments away from starting wars with North Korea, Assad, and every international opposition who knows he can’t be controlled.  **Prayer hands emoji**

It has been a long 100 days for all of us, including Trump.  While we have had a lot of growing pains, there is still time for him to take the low approval ratings as a wake up call, and to turn things around if he concentrates on the country, and not his ego.

Only time will tell.
