The Chicago Urban Prep Academy is sending all of its graduating seniors to college for the 8th consecutive year. Tim Kim, the founder and CEO of Urban Prep Academies, has stated that they achieved a new record this year with “1,500 letters of admission from over 170 colleges and universities.”

This joyous celebration is carried out as they remember the life of Yuri Hardy, one of their fellow students who lost his life due to gun violence. A parent of the students stated, “It is tremendous what they have to go through every day and they still come to school. They still want to pursue this dream of going to college.”
