Playboy Carti comes through to enlighten us on what he’s been bringing to the game and moves he’s been making to separate himself from some of his contemporaries.

After performing at SXSW in 2014, A$AP Rocky took an interest to the then up and coming Soundcloud rapper. Since then his music has continually been evolving, developing him into the hitmaker we see emerging today.

Carti, unlike other artists of this generation, has been trying to keep a lower profile, doing only a few interviews and staying mostly off social media, letting the music speak for itself. Rosenberg, having grown up in an era without social media salutes young Carti for his decision:

“If you can be a part of the movement that makes social media less important to art, you will be one of my heroes.”

Luckily we’ve got one of the only interviews he’s ever done and you can find it in its entirety below!

Never miss an interview!
