The Baton Rouge police force shot and killed 37-year-old Sterling in cold blood on July 5, 2016. The whole ordeal was captured on video; we see officers ordering Alton to the ground, pinning him, then shooting straight for him and not stopping. His death started lots of uproar across the country, many people saying it’s clear this was murder and the officers should be tried.

To make matters worse, Sterling’s family wasn’t even notified of the ruling privately. Ryan Julison, a spokesman for the Sterling family’s attorneys said:

“We have not heard nor received an update and are unaware of any charges that may or may not be filed. We have not received word, nor has the family been given any notice of upcoming updates regarding this case.”

What do you think it would take for us to police the police?
