Lyor Cohen, Travis Scotts’ former manager, and his management company, LCAR management, is suing the Houston wild boy for breach of contract.
Scott signed a three-year contract to LCAR back in 2014 which gave the company 15% of Travis’ entertainment earnings. According to LCAR, they should have made about $2 million but claims they only got about $37k. They also claim to have been pursuing Travis since 2015 but got letters from Travis’ attorney that state their services are no longer needed. LCAR is suing for their $2 million as well as a full account of Travis’ earnings.
According to XXL, Travis signed with LCAR trusting they will handle his career accordingly but he feels as though they have not. Since then, Scott has gotten new management that he feels is doing a much better job. That same source also says that Lyor Cohen is now the head of Global Music at YouTube so the current suit is frivolous.
Do you think Scott should pay up?
