The Compton MC released “DAMN.” on April 14 after a full week of anticipation. Many fans speculated K.Dot was dropping a new project on April 7 after he mentioned the date at the end of “The Heart Pt. 4″. Kung Fu Kenny has been receiving praise for the critically acclaimed project, which has spent two weeks (so far) at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and dominated the Billboard Hot 100 with the single “Humble,” which hit No. 1 last week. Now the hip-hop innovator has even more to celebrate: His latest LP has been certified platinum by the RIAA.
