An 8-year old boy, Gabriel Taye hung himself two days after being bullied in his school’s bathroom at a Cincinnati elementary school.
A video was released of Taye knocked out unconscious on a bathroom floor while being kicked by several kids. This went on for several minutes until the school’s assistant principal and then nurse followed shortly helped him. The biggest problem here is that they called his mother and only told her he had fainted. His mother brought him to the hospital after he threw up twice believing it to only be a simple stomach virus.
Two days after that incident, January 26th, Gabriel came home spoke to his mother and went to his room. She found him later that night hung from his bunk bed. His mother made her first comments saying:
“His life was not only stolen from him, but from those of us who expected to watch him grow up and enjoy life,” she said in a statement. “If I could, I would give anything to have him back. I feel he was cheated. I feel robbed. My only child, my best friend, and my first true love isn’t here with us physically but I know he’s here in spirit.”
The school claims, Gabriel never reported any bullying.
