Last week, it was announced that Epic Records CEO and chairman, L.A. Reid abruptly left his position at the Sony Music imprint after six years. Now, new reports have surfaced that speculates the reason for his swift exit.
According to the New York Post, a female assistant at the label has accused Reid of sexual harassment. In a letter submitted to Sony Music, the accuser went into full detail about the harassment she says she endured at exec’s hands.
The letter stated that Reid made physical advances toward her at a holiday party, and again at a separate incident during business travel. During the business trip, the assistant claims that Reid asked her to lie down in bed with him and give him a hug.
So far neither Sony or Reid have commented on the allegations.
