The District of Columbia has definitely had a tough weekend; the Capitals took a loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins in game seven of the Stanely Cup playoffs, and the Washington Wizards took an L to the Boston Celtics in game seven of the NBA Playoffs. Now they have to deal with backlash coming from a win from Sunday night.

Miss USA Kara McCullough is having to do some clean-up work on the comments she made during Sunday’s pageant. Although the lovely 25-year-old took home the crown, that headline is attached to her comments on healthcare in America.

Julianna Hough[Pageant Host] : Is affordable health care is a right or a privilege for all Americans?
Miss D.C. : “I’m definitely going to say it’s a privilege.”

Earlier today, she did get a chance to clarify her remarks:

“I am privileged to have health care and I do believe that it should be a right,” she said. “I hope and pray moving forward that health care is a right for all worldwide.”
