Tracy Morgan will be joining his comedic cohorts and provide his fans with a new standup that will be available on Netflix on May 16. “Staying Alive” will be Tracy’s long awaited return to the comedic stage after a terrible accident back in 2014 which left him in critical condition for months and ended the life of his closest friend and comedic writer-James McNair.

Morgan tells CNN during a recent interview. The iconic comedian will be touching on the horrific accident during the special as well as his triumphant return to the stage all fueled by his loving fans. The special is properly named and seems to have a theme tied into Tracy’s Bronx NYC roots.

“I’ve overcome a lot but there are people out there that are worse off than me, and I have to see it that way,” Morgan tells CNN. “I’m doing standup for Netflix, I’m living my life, I’m getting to see my kids grow. There’s people out there with nothing to eat, no water,”
His positive outlook will surely make for an entertaining and touching special.
