On a recent visit to “The Late Show with James Corden,” Ice Cube confirmed that “Last Friday,” the last installation of the Friday movie series is in the works.
“We’re working on one right now. We’re gonna call it ‘Last Friday,'” said Cube in the interview.
The sequel has been teased to fans for years and now we know for sure that Ice Cube is back at it again. Friday was no doubt one of the most influential movies of the 90’s, and more recently has been quoted all over for the infamous line “Bye Felicia.”
Sitting next to Ice Cube in the interview was singer Jason Derulo, where he professed his love for the moving growing up.
“’Friday’ was one of my favorite movies of all time. Literally, I would watch it every single Friday. It was that serious,” exclaimed Derulo.
The two entertainers also bonded over recollections of their mothers’ reactions to the music they’ve put out. Jason Durlo’s mom had concerns about his recent radio hit “Swalla” featuring Nick Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign. Ice Cube also shared memories of his mom’s reaction to the 1988 release of “Fuck Tha Police” with N.W.A.
