Drake has not only been victorious at award shows, but also in the courtroom.

The rapper’s latest victory involves him winning a copyright infringement lawsuit filed against him in 2014. The suit claims Drake stole the Jimmy Smith sample used “Pound Cake/ Paris Morton Music 2.”

Smith’s estate claims the sample had been used without permission, but the court ruled in Drake’s favor saying that his spin on the sample was “sharply different”. The Judge also said that Drake’s edit also chances that statement of the sample, and therefore was not violating any copyright laws.

Victory is Drizzy’s!
