Kia Patterson’s story is breaking the internet and for good reason. Thanks to Kia, Compton California is now home to what is reportedly the first black-owned grocery store in the area. It also looks like she is garnering the support from the city that she needs in this endeavor.
The “Grocery Outlet” is Patterson’s attempt to put her expertise in the food and grocery industry to good use in the urban community. The outlet will be providing more affordable organic food options to its patrons.
