Big Sean joins ABC’s “Nightline” and talks a little about his new Mogul Prep program in Detroit among other things like his famous starting story rapping for Kanye West, what Eminem and what the city of Detroit means to him and more.
He stresses not initially knowing just how many roles were involved in a rap career which is a major reason he started the program. He says:
“I thought it was important because I didn’t even know all of the jobs and all the people that I had to hire,” he explained. “I’m just like, ‘What do you do?’ That’s from road manager, tour manager, publisher, creative director, the list goes on and on. Those people who have jobs, those are long-lasting careers. Those last longer than a lot of artist careers.”
