The longtime high profile case of Bill Cosby and his accuser Andrea Constand has finally come to an end for now. The case has ended in a mistrial on Sunday after the Pennsylvania jury was unable to come to a unanimous decision. This decision has left Cosby’s legacy still very much in question, but at the least not dead yet. The verdict left some of the accusers in the audience sad as Cosby sat there with a still face. Outside he remained silent as his lawyers joyed in what they perceived as a victory. His spokesman said that Cosby’s “power is back.” While his wife Camile’s spokesman said this:
“How do I describe the district attorney? Heinously and exploitatively ambitious. How do I describe the judge? Overtly and arrogantly collaborating with the district attorney. How do I describe the counsels for the accusers? Totally unethical. How do I describe many, but not all, general media? Blatantly vicious entities that continually disseminated intentional omissions of truths for the primary purpose of greedily selling sensationalism at the expense of a human life.
Cosby’s legal team hoped for an acquittal, while the prosecution said they will go back and review their case and go for the retry so this case is sure to continue in the foreseeable future. The judge said he will try to schedule a case in the next 120 days.
