O.J. Simpson might just be a free man sooner rather than later. His parole hearing has officially been set for July 20.
If things work out in his favor a rep for the Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners said Simpson could be released as early as October 1. Simpson won’t be at the hearing in person, he will be there via webcam from the inside of the Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada.
Simpson is currently behind bars due to a 2007 armed robbery and kidnapping charge after stealing sports memorabilia from a hotel room in Las Vegas.
He was first detained in 2008 and hasn’t seen freedom since. Although O.J. was sentenced to 33 years in prison, he is eligible for parole after 9 years.
