On what would have been Tupac’s 46th birthday, a biopic in his honor hit theaters everywhere on June 16. What was supposed to be the movie to kickoff the summer, turned into a questioning of the integrity of the story by Jada Pinkett-Smith.
The actress took to Twitter to express her thoughts on the biopic and it was not pretty.
But Kat Graham, the actress who played Pinkett-Smith in the film expressed her confusion for the Twitter rant in an interview with E online.
“When I first got the role, I reached out to [her] a year and a half ago. The point of reaching out to her, as well as the other producers on the film, was to ensure the integrity of the story and the character. I even spoke to her last week and she had nothing but support,” stated Graham.
Although she still has the utmost respect and admiration for Pinkett-Smith, Graham wishes everyone would go out and view the movie and form their own opinions of it.
