Andre Iguodala of the Golden State Warriors has teamed up with up-and-coming streaming news network Cheddar to release a brand new show called Evenings With Andre.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Iguodala will be interviewing everyone “from business, technology, sports and entertainment.” Cheddar and Iguodala have already pitched the show to streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu and Amazon. Cheddar founder Jon Steinberg said:
“You can assume we’ve talked to everybody, from the obvious Amazon and Netflix all the way down.”
If none of these major streaming services want to pick up the show, Cheddar said they will stream it strictly on their own platform. The show will stream on Twitter, Facebook Live and its own network.
Most of Cheddar’s audience are millennials, and Iguodala said the show reaches “a lot of people who are trying to find their way and this show will give them inspiration that anything can be done.”
The show will not interfere with Iguodala’s basketball schedule since it’s going to be shot during off-season. Also, if you haven’t heard yet, Iguodala is becoming a free agent this summer after playing with the Warriors the past four years in a row.
