As the internet was taken aback by Jay-Z’s alleged shots at Kanye West on his new album 4:44, one person wasn’t happy about the lines, and that’s his wife Kim Kardashian. On the opening track to the album “Kill Jay Z,”people believe Hov took some not so subtle shots at his former friend and longtime collaborator:

“I know people backstab you, I felt that too/But this ‘fuck everybody attitude’ ain’t natural/But you ain’t the same, this ain’t Kumba ‘Ye/But you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye/You give him $20 million without blinking/He gave you 20 minutes on stage, fuck what was he thinking?/’Fuck wrong with everybody?’ is what you saying/But if everyone is crazy, you’re the one that’s insane”

According to Hollywood Life, Kardashian believes that the lines were aimed at West and completely insensitive.

“She gets very protective of her husband, like a mama bear […] She thinks it was a low blow to diss Kanye and throw around words like ‘insane’ after all he’s been through,” according to a source. “Kanye had a real difficult time last year and is still coming out of it, so to hit him like that wasn‘t cool.”

2016 wasn’t the best year for the Kardashian-West clan, following her life-changing robbery in Paris, Kanye had several of bizarre rants during his Saint Pablo tour and was later admitted to the UCLA Medical Facility for psychological evaluation. According to the same source, Kardashian wants nothing more than to let bygones be bygones:

“She likes Bey and Jay and would love to be friends—but it has to be a two-way street. If they aren’t interested then so be it.”
