Boosie has a problem with Jay-Z’s disregard for money phone pictures. The rapper hit Instagram Live to let Jay and the world know, “your words don’t move me.”

Jay-Z’s recent album drop created a wave of near unanimous praise across social media, one highlight, in particular, was the line on “The Story of OJ” where Jay says, “ya’ll on the ‘Gram holdin’ money to your ear / there’s a disconnect, we don’t call that money over here,” referring to a common photo trend many rappers took part in. The scathing line from 4:44 spawned a meme showing rappers from Drake to Meek Mill sharing the “money phone” picture.

“In Louisiana, that’s just a trend,” said Boosie. However, it is a trend among rappers from all locations, and while it may be a celebratory style of pictures, Boosie seems to miss Jay’s point about actual financial freedom. Despite Boosie claiming some “people don’t got bank accounts,” that isn’t exactly a reason to criticize Hov’s line because both men seemingly only desire to help motivate their fans.
