While the rest of New Jersey is barred from visiting state parks and beaches because of Governor Chris Christie’s ordered government shutdown, Christie is taking advantage of the emptiness at the beaches. Early Sunday (Jul. 2) afternoon pictures were taken of Christie and his family laying in the sun while they stayed at the state provided beach house by the shore. Against the law? No. Insensitive? Very.
When Christie was asked if he got any Sun he responded that he didn’t. But his spokesman later said when asked about the photos:
Yes, the governor was on the beach briefly today talking to his wife and family before heading into the office.”
“He did not get any sun,” Murray added. “He had a baseball hat on.”
Christie was asked if it was fair and he said: “Run for governor, and you can have a residence there.” Think that was a good answer?
