A few weeks ago, the National Rifle Association of America (NRA) made headlines for releasing a video that advocated gun use. With police shootings being captured on footage of innocent men and women being shot, many are questioning the NRA’s timing of releasing this video. And now organizations, including “Black Lives Matter” are firing back.
“When the NRA issues a public call to their constituents, inciting violence against people who are constitutionally fighting for their lives, we don’t take that lightly,” Funmilola Fagbamila, professor of Pan-African studies at Cal State Los Angeles, says in response to the NRA’s video.
Several organizations including “Black Lives Matter” have teamed up to create a video in response to the dangerous NRA recruitment ad.
