Simone Manuel scorched up the world swimming last Summer at the Olympics. Now she’s back in international competition doing the same.
Competing at the International Swimming Federation (FINA) World Championships in Hungary in the 100m race she had a similar race to her famous Olympics one. Trailing behind Sweden’s Sarah Sjöström, Manuel came from behind to beat her by a mere 0.04 seconds. Her time of 52.27 broke an American record, becoming the fourth best record of all-time.
Congratulations Simone! Keep it up!
