Reports indicate that T-Mobile and Sprint are once again communicating over a possible merger of the two wireless providers. If successful, the joint company would become No. 2 in the country, right behind AT&T.
The two companies failed at attempting a merger 3 years ago when concerns that regulators would not approve it broke out.
Back in May, it became apparent that the deal would not be forgotten and that the two companies would begin their talks again soon.
Meanwhile, AT&T and Verizon have begun broadening their reaches by acquiring companies like AT&T’s purchase of Time Warner, and Verizon’s of AOL and Yahoo.
